| Sodium Lauryl Ethyl Sulphate |
A mild foaming agent derived from coconut. NOT to be confused with Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS). The molecular syructure of Sodium Lauryl Ethyl Sulphate (SLES) has one mlecular 'claw' which effectively removes surface grime, whereas SLS has several 'claws' which can remove the bodies own natural oils as well. |
| Cetyl Alcohol |
An emulsifying wax which aids the blending of oil and water when making a cream or lotion. NOT to be confused with the ethyl alcohol often used in perfumes. |

Found in many beauty products. Known to cause allergic reactions, irritating and drying to eyes, hair and skin. |

| Petroleum |
Can cause photosensitivity. Strips natural oils from the skin preventing the elimination of toxins. |
| |
|
| Alochol Isopropyl |
Dries skin and hair creating cracks and fissures which encourage bacterial growth. |

|
| Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS) |
Strips natural oils from the skin and can damage eye and skin protein. |
| |
|
| Methyl, propyl, butyl and ethyl parabens |
Considered highly toxic - have been found in cancer tumours. |
| |
|
| Fragrance / Parfum |
Can cause headaches, dizziness and rashes. Linked to potential immune and nervous system toxicity.. |

|
| Propylene Glycol |
Useful in anti-freeze - but be careful when filling the radiator as it can strip paint! It is amazing to discover therefore that it is present in many hair products as a by-product of the production process. Can cause contact dermatitis and eye irritation. |

| Polyethylene Glycol |
Used to dissolve grease. Found in oven cleaners as well as many skin cleansers. |

| animal-derived ingredients |
Such as lanolin, taken from the oil-glands of sheep, extracted from their wool. A known allergen with no proven effectiveness. |

| Imidazolidinyl Urea |
A preservative found in many skin products. Contains formaldehyde, a known carcinogen. Can weaken the immune system. |

| Shea Butter / Beeswax |
These are heavy and drag on the skin. Can block pores. |
